Mariah Carey has reported called off her lavish wedding celebration because she couldn't secure a photo deal that would cover the party's costs. It had previously been reported that Carey and husband Nick Cannon would host an over-the-top party in New York City to compensate for their low-key nuptials in the Bahamas. "Mariah was willing to pay for the wedding, but the way she hoped to pay for the wedding was through the sale of photos," a source told MSNBC's The Scoop. "No one was interested."Even though no party is planned, EOnline.com reported last week that Carey's assistant allegedly sent out "more than 100 e-mails to her wealthy friends letting them know she's registered at Bergdorf Goodman if they want to buy her a present."
Among the items the singer registered for are fine china and silver items.
