Ashanti: Me and Nelly, We're Good Friends

R&B singer Ashanti, who has been mummed about her rumored relations with rapper Nelly, finally drops a few lines publicly about their companionship.
"Me and Nelly, we're good friends. We kick it – hang out a lot," the 27-year-old told People at Game Five of the 2008 NBA Finals between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics. "The industry is very hard, so it's good to have fun and lighten it up."
So what about marriage? "Oh no. Noooo! No engagement." Then she added with a wicked smile, "But definitely in the future. Ha! Ha!"
Ashanti recently told Singersroom if she were to be proposed to, she would rather be “surprised,” but smirked and said “but he’s gonna know exactly what I need.”
Ashanti is busy promoting her latest disc, The Declaration, which features producers and collaborators Robin Thicke, Jermaine Dupri, Babyface, L.T. Hutton, and Pharrell Williams.
